Day 50: Underground Railroad to Candyland. I got this shirt in 2007 when URTC played at Thrillhouse Records in SF. I tried to find the date, and the other bands that played on the list but its not on there. Thrillhouse is this awesome house that is a volunteer run punk record store, record label, and a venue, and someones house!! I’ve only been to a few shows there but they are always rad.
I remember this show being crowded and fun and the ceiling in the basement was low so the singer could barely stand up straight. Their songs make me want to jump, but I didn’t even though I am really short. This shirt was too big when I bought it but I really wanted a shirt so I just bought it and sewed it, that’s kind of how I operate. I also bought their first album on vinyl, and it had a cool paper bird inside that was drawn with a sharpie and then cut out. It was so strange and awesome. This shirt gets a lot of wear in the summer months, because that is when I hate sleeves.
